Newpark Close Family resource Centre provides family support based on community development principles by building supports within the local community.
The Centre supports families and community groups in the Eastern environs of Kilkenny City through providing information, activities and programmes. these programmes adopt an approach that embraces the needs of individuals, the family unit and the community. The support available focuses on strengthening the family's ability to provide a nurturing environment for all family members.
In the process of offering support to all families, some families or family members may present with more acute needs that require a more personalised one-to-one support, e.g., parenting programmes, counselling, play therapy, etc. Newpark Close Family Resource Centre therefore aims to provide and create various levels of locally based support, as required, in order to meet the ever changing needs of families in the community.
